The K Bar at The Kensington Hotel in London has a cocktail menu called ‘Terroir’, with drinks designed to emulate the characteristics of wines from different regions of Europe. đŸ·

This foamy vodka, amaro and mezcal cocktail is based around Piedmont, Italy, with flavours of smoke, tartness and dried flowers, and a nod to the production of hazelnuts in the region.

Made here by Head Bartender Dominique Kokkala, it’s a stunner of a drink with a silky mouthfeel that helps it slip down a little too easily!


Recipe: –

50ml Egg White
10ml Lemon Juice
15ml Rose Syrup
15ml Hazelnut-Infused Vodka
25ml Amaro
5ml Mezcal

Dry shake (without ice) then add ice and shake again.

Fine strain into a coupe glass and garnish with edible flowers.
