It’s an Irish Coffee… but different!

It’s cold for starters – stirred down with ice rather than built in the glass with hot coffee.

And instead of whiskey the Belfast Coffee is made with the Irish spirit poitín, giving it a completely different flavour.

This one’s by Aaron Wall at London’s Homeboy bar – give it a go and let us know whether you prefer this one or the original!

Recipe: –

30ml Poitín
15ml Demerara Syrup (2:1)
50ml Coffee

Stir with ice and strain into an Irish Coffee glass.

Float 20ml Cream on top and garnish with grated nutmeg.
